Individual Therapy
A space to process your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and build a life that feels more grounded, connected, and meaningful.
A Space for You
Individual therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with yourself.
Together, we'll explore the patterns, emotions, and beliefs that have been shaped by your past, approaching them with curiosity rather than judgment. At a pace that feels supportive, we'll work to process what you've been through while building greater capacity for regulation, resilience, clarity, and self-trust. The goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you move through life with greater freedom, connection, and intention.

FAQs
-
Trauma-informed therapy recognizes how past and present experiences can shape the way we think, feel, relate, and respond to the world around us. Rather than asking only what is “wrong,” we approach patterns with curiosity about what they may have helped you survive, manage, or protect against.
Contact your insurance and ask “what are my out of network benefits?”.
-
No. You do not need a PTSD diagnosis or a particular kind of experience to benefit from trauma-informed therapy. We can work with anxiety, relationships, grief, life transitions, patterns that feel difficult to change, or experiences that continue to impact you.
-
Experiential therapy allows us to move beyond talking about an experience and explore what is happening in the present. Depending on your needs, this might include somatic awareness, imagery, movement, role work, expressive practices, or other ways of engaging with your experience.
-
Yes. Individual therapy may integrate approaches such as Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Psychodrama, and other experiential practices. We’ll determine together what feels useful and appropriate for you.
-
You don’t need to arrive knowing which modality or approach is right for you. We’ll begin with what brings you to therapy and decide together how we want to approach the work.
-
Yes. I work with adolescents when individual therapy feels developmentally and clinically appropriate.
When working with teens, I balance the young person’s need for privacy and trust with thoughtful caregiver involvement when appropriate.
When appropriate, I also include parental support or parent coaching.

Sessions are available in-office in Carlsbad and virtually throughout California. In-home or other settings may also be available in select circumstances when clinically appropriate.
