Why EMBER?
EMBER was created with an important belief in mind- no essential part of who you are can truly be lost.
It is the reminder of the steady, enduring spark within each of us.
This belief was shaped through years of clinical work and leadership—witnessing both the resilience people carry and the ways care can sometimes miss the person in front of it.
EMBER was created to offer something different.
It is an opportunity to reconnect with parts of yourself that have felt distant, rebuild relationships, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and fully your own.
The Philosophy
This is a space where therapy is attuned, relational, and responsive to you—where the work honors your story, your pace, and your way of healing.
I believe the relationship in the room matters—where authentic presence, clinical expertise, and lived experience come together to support meaningful healing.
Meet Ryan
I’m glad
you’re here!
I’m Ryan Snodgrass, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in San Diego, California.
My work is shaped by experience across a wide range of settings—from leading large clinical organizations to working internationally and supporting individuals navigating complex trauma, high visibility roles, and diverse life experiences.
This is what led to me creating EMBER, a space aimed at bringing meaningful, trauma-informed care to those seeking deeper healing.
I work with adults and teens who are navigating the impact of trauma, life transitions, and relational challenges. Many of the people I work with are not only seeking relief from what feels difficult, but also a deeper sense of clarity, connection, and joy in their lives.
My style is warm, attuned, and collaborative. I am gentle, yet direct—offering both compassion and clarity in the work we do together. I believe therapy is a space to feel supported, understood, and able to move at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
